We’ve rolled out a brand new Instagram connection experience that lets creators link their Instagram Business or Creator accounts directly—without needing to navigate Facebook pages or permissions. Whether you're signing up for the first time or upgrading an existing account, this update simplifies the process while keeping all the functionality you’re used to.

This update does not affect any current Heylisters already connected through Facebook. But for new creators and future upgrades, the process just got a whole lot smoother.

What’s new in the Instagram connection flow

No more Facebook middleman

Until now, linking your Instagram to Heylist required going through Facebook. That’s no longer the case. Creators can now connect directly with Instagram Business or Creator accounts, skipping Facebook entirely.

What stays the same? All the data access and functionality you expect from an Instagram connection—including audience analytics, post metrics, and profile validation—are still intact.

Easy upgrade from personal accounts

Still using a Personal Instagram account? You’ll now get a guided prompt to switch to a Business or Creator account during the connection process—no need to Google how-to articles or fumble through Instagram settings.

Simple connection steps

Whether you're just getting started on Heylist or updating an existing profile, connecting your Instagram is simple:

• New users: Complete your Heylist profile until you’re prompted to connect your Instagram account.
• Existing users: Head to Account Settings and select Connect your socials.

Mobile connection tips

Instagram’s popups can still be a little… tricky on mobile. But there’s a quick fix:

1. Access your account from mobile.
2. Tap & hold the Connect with Instagram button.
3. When prompted, choose Open in New Tab.
4. Grant permission in the new tab—and you’re done.
